    Warm Windows as Insulation

I am in process of doing a PLUQ and looking for a way to make it a bit warmer. I found a product in the fabric store call Warm Windows. It was on sale so I purchased a few yards and am going to put it between the layers of the poncho liner.

This is a link to it.

Anyone try this before? Any feedback on it?

A few have tried. The stuff is comparatively heavy, though...

do a search for WarmWindow or --with quotes-- "Warm Window"

How low are you trying to get?

I've had some success with a layer of Insul-Brite or Pellon's Insul-Fleece between the PL and the hammock...

Even a layer of fleece adds a surprising amount of warmth.

For $20/yd you can buy climashield for a lot less and sew it between the layers... It would pack smaller...

I would like to get down into the low 30's (freezing).

I was able to pick it up for 50% off so it was not too bad. I think I paided 10.00 per yard and I only needed a couple of yards.

Only thing I have left to do on it now is finish the cording and do a test hang on it. I took and old sheet and sewed it onto the side w/o fabric so I would not do any damage to the insulation.

Thanks for the suggestions. If this doesn't work out, I will give those a try.
