We sure missed you Shug. I do think a lot of your enthusiasm for hammock camping, the Gorge, and the great outdoors was in the air. It was a very postitive event. Smiles all around!!

    Question

Great videos, I really enjoy them. I must ask a question though. Right at the start of the video mention was made of folks "out gathering wood". I was wondering if wood was hard to find in an area that popular and heavily used. In my neck of the woods any heavily used area has NO firewood available because things grow so slowly (if at all). Do the woods replenish themselves that quickly? I would get a real kick out of camping in your country, hope to make it someday. In the meantime, thanks for letting me enjoy your country and fun through your great videos. Now, about that firewood???

Some areas are picked over but actually we've been blessed and cursed with ice storms, forest fires and the like and there's plenty of dead wood. Not to mention for this gathering ... Hangin'Burritto (a cabinet maker par excellent) brought scrap wood to burn as well.

For example though five of us camped on the western rim Sunday night and there's enough down and dead wood to last years in places over there.

Thank you, Hawk-eye! As we speak, I'm busy making big boards into little boards!

Next time, I'll bring the whole cabinet!
