It looks like you had a great trip. I leave for the BWCAW on Sept 15. Watching your video makes me all the more anxious to get started. Thanks for the video and photos.

Awesome video man! I really liked how you and your lady switched between narating the video and watching this makes me want to go to the BWCA really bad. Thanks so much for sharing and glad you had a great time!

Yeah, thanks a lot Fronkey, with the BWCA in your back yard you gotta go. And not a single tree attack the whole week.

Thank you Crotalus, BW is def. worth your time.

For any of you out there thinking of going you should visit BWCA.com. A great resource. You can do it without laying out a ton of money for paddle specific gear. If you're only in it to go once or twice, you can go with internal frame packs. Won't be ideal, but you can do it. This is coming from someone with FOUR portage packs.
Yeah, even renting a canoe for a week is not that expensive. Like you said, heaps of good info over there at BWCA.com too.

Awesome. Have a safe trip. Hopefully you'll get to see a bit more wildlife than we did. Even if you don't the scenery is enough.
    Good luck,

Ugh. Our trip got cancelled. Back in the hospital with some complications. Not worth the risk of being in the back woods right now. Thank goodness for HF and my iPhone. Keeps the boredom away while sitting here doing nuthin'.

Awe, bummer man. I hope you get better soon, and maybe you can get out there before the snow flies.

Nice trip report, Red. Great pictures! I've been going through info the past couple of weeks for another trip up there next year, and in fact was looking at Sawbill Lake entry points. I may have to pick your brain for some ideas. Boy, running a marathon before heading out for six days ..... you stud.
I'm so out of shape ......I passed gas yesterday and pulled a muscle!

Gonna watch the vid when I get home. Pics look stellar. Good stuff. I need to get training - I'd like to do an off-road half in the near future.

Thanx Taozenqi, glad you enjoyed the pix and vid. I'd like to do Quetico someday myself, but I like the convenience of BWCA.
