I have been reading a lot about the whoopie slings and constrictor lines and was wondering if there was a way to use these techniques to make a loop with no knots. The idea would be good for making prusik loops that did not have a knot in the line. I am sure this has come up before, but does anyone know how to make such a thing.

It's called a continuous loop. Basically, it's just a short length of rope with the ends in a locked brummel and then the tails are buried. Opie shows one in this thread:

Just for technicality's sake, the continuous loop connection is not a locked brummel, it only resembles one.
Not trying to be the grammar nazi, just figured I'd point that out.

By simply changing one step slightly, it can be made a locked Brummel.

Or for maximum strength efficiency, avoid pass through altogether; simply bury and taper each end, and use a lock stitch.
