Video: Finally Finished the Foothills Part 3

Foothills Trail 76.2miles from Oconee State Park to Table Rock State Park in South Carolina. The trip plan was for 3.5 days due to daylight and weather. That's what it took but with some surprises along the way. Lots of stairs led to swollen knees. Cold and rain led to well... the finale... enjoy.

Good call on the nearo and the slack on the final day.

Temperature regulation is, quite possibly, the second most important obstacle on long days; food and water being the first. Making sure that you were dry and warm that night was definitely the best call you could have made.

Thanks for taking us along, FIMB!

Nothing better than a sunny day and a slack to the end! Thanks for taking the time to share the trip.

I agree. Food and water are super important, but thermoregulation is too.

I hope you can make it again some time.

I've never been to Oregon, but it's on the list.

Thanx for the report! Glad you were able to get out of the weather and warm up! Blessings on fast healing of the knees. I've got two bum knees and it is no fun at all!

Hey thanks for sharing the trip.

Wondering if the Foothills trail is hike-able in Feb? Barring any storms or real nasty weather of course.

Thank you. I'm glad you watched it. My knees are feeling better already. Bum knees suck.

You're welcome. I believe that the Foothills Trail would be great in February. Rain is usually what we have to look forward to as far as winter weather goes, but if it were clear, it'd be fabulous.

Super, thanks. Wife and I are thinking of hiking it on our way down to Florida in Feb. I think she's a little scared after watching your video, all those stairs . I might have to hit you up for some more info later on.

    Have a Merry Christmas
