Thanks for sharing. Having a good night in your favorite spot and learning as well is all great. I've been starting to get the winter camping itch and video's like yours are informative.thanks again

Combining the Winter Incubator, MM Sock, DD UQ, space blanket and Hennessy SS, that was probably enough to make it below -35°C (-30°F). While the BBO probably contributed to the condensation, my guess is that the vapor barrier space blanket directly against you caused much of it. I've found that leaving a "vent hole" directly above my head tends to allow much of the moisture to escape while the over cover still retains some heat. It's a compromise of heat/condensation versus cold/ventilation. Wearing a rainsuit can help keep the perspiration from getting to your down. A breathing hole will allow the vapor from respiration to escape.

Still -21°C (-5°F) is pretty chilly. A single night out can be pulled off with some planning. Subsequent nights are where the true challenge lies as insulation can be compromised with moisture.

Great report, really good pics like that almost make me feel like I was there. The detail of the snow on every branch made it surreal.

Looks like a great trip, Blaze!
I see that you've bought all the coolest gear on the market!

Btw. are you a cold or warm sleeper? The Winter Incubator and Winter Burrow kept me warm at -15C and I feel that I could easily go even lower, without adding further quilts or insulation. But it varies from person to person I guess.

    Let's arrange a hang soon!
