help me thread inject!

I broke down and bought a thread injector -- yes, me, who can barely sew a button on. I decided I'd give it a whirl and bought an old one at the Salvation Army, old, but in immaculate condition. My problem: I can't find a manual online for it anywhere. I'm hoping someone here can help me. It's a Kenmore Deluxe, model C877.02 (which, according to their website isn't a model number). There is a second plate on the machine with 169136. These are NOT the motor serial numbers, they are right on the bottom of the machine. It's one of the ones that's attached to its own little sewing table. Any ideas where I might look? Or does anyone else have one? I'll try and get a picture up here shortly. Any help is appreciated.

Looking forward to the picture...I'm sure somebody will recognize your machine. (If not, a new discussion with title"Please help I.D. this Kenmore" will get some attention.)

Perhaps the Canadian Kenmore machines (sold thru Simpsons-Sears) had different numbering?

If it isn't an extremely complicated machine, a friend/neighbour/relative who knows how to sew will probably be able to get you going. Most sewing machines are similar in the basic concepts and threading, but the details can be perplexing.

When you take pictures, please include a picture of the bobbin area (under the plate).

I am sure you can find a thread diagram here, with a bit of looking for a similar pictured machine, most of those were made by singer and a model 15 "clone"

I also suspect the mechanism is that of a 15 series clone in a more modern housing. Should be a good machine. The stitch length adjuster is a dial instead of a lever and I'm guessing the button in the middle of it is pressed for reverse.

Isn't it amazing that someone in Indiana can find more information on a machine than the store that most likely originally sold it? Even though it's in another country?
