what INFLATABLE pad out there is

27-30 inches long? any?
I played with the Yeti at 6250 feet trying to find some cold air....49F was the low---not a challenge for the Yeti and I used a piece of foam pad I had in the backpack. The CCF pad was too short and I could feel a cold spot just below the knee.
I prefer not to put a backpack in my Warbonnet though I can see how that is an option. I don't have a problem with a thin piece of CCF either and will order a 1/4 inch piece from Speer Hammocks....but I would like to find something that might pack down small-thus the quest for an inflatable pad that is roughly 30 inches long.

another option is to put some spare clothes/rain jacket ect in a stuffsac and use that under the knees and a short pad for the feet.

I took a thermawrap parka and stretch it out under the knees...worked like a charm. I'm also using this an excuse to purchase a sit pad that can also be used in one of those thermarest things to make a chair.......

If you want a larger pad to solve the cold leg issue ....and you prefer an inflatable.... take a look at the BPL/Bozeman Torso light... It is about the size you are seeking.

Thanks Pan! I went to their site and it is currently not available nor can it be backordered. but what do you (all) think about the Thermarest Prolite in XS, dimensions are 20 x 36

i think you're better off with ccf, ccf that small won't take up much space and should be alot less than 8oz. maybe around 3oz. may not work as good in the thermarest chair though. speaking of, what about just getting a crazy creek chair, just like the thermarest chair but with ccf inside. you can open it fully and it would be about 2-2.5' long

the thermarest chair and the crazy creek chairs----NO WAY...especially when considering you've got the best chair around anyway-the hammock.
Even if you get just the sleeve it's 6oz.
After all the thought/study I think you're right in that a CCF is the way, the 1/4 inch folded in half in the pack should be plenty long enough.

So, what low temps have people used a 1/4 inch CCF under the feet/calves while using a Yeti?

Big agnes + pitch pine is a good combo if u like using a bag. The pitch pine is one of the lightest bags out there, around 17oz. Its good down to 40 if your a cold sleeper. itdoes not have down on the bottom, just a slot for the pad to slide in. Thats how the BA sleeping bags work, i use mine but i let abotu 1/3 of the air out, works better that way in the hammock.

i've used 1/4" (1/8"doubled) under my legs in the 20's. several times. i wore down booties though and had stuffsac under the knees
