My Take on the stick pic camera pole mount.

There was some great pics and videos on the swamp hang last weekend thanks to a little invention called the StickPic made by Thestickpic.com. I checked there site to buy one for what I thought was a reasonable price, but they were out of the #2 size I needed for my hiking pole. So I got bored at work today and fabbed a few of these up. It has the standard thread for most camera and camcorder mounts. Just a simple P-clamp, a wing nut to lock the camera in place, and a machine screw. The rubber on the P-clamp works great for holding it to the pole without slipping.

Yours looks great. I made one out of a bolt and a bottle cap. Yours looks like it might be a bit more secure.

Nicely done, I've got a bunch of those in my tool box at work, I might have to give that a go. Good idea, thanx.

Very cool and innovative. Good thinking outside the box
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Im all about the DIY and home repair... I don't "call the guy" if I can do it myself.... but I gotta ask..... what is a "P-clamp"?

And I would love to purchase one from you if I cant make it myself...
