Ok, here is what all I gather on the comparisons. Speer may have been conservative on his temp rating. Probably to get feedback from customers on a realistic number from multiple viewpoints before posting a temp? Also, his has a lot of "stuff" on it to make it easier and better for first time or lazy users. Also, some of the price is going towards the R&D of the underquilt which it should. I'll still stick with the KAQ when it comes in though.
how does a Speer Quilt cost compared to a KAQ....I haven't seen any prices for a KAQ
My KAQ was $180, but that was last July or August

The Potomac is $180, which includes the quilt, oversized sil stuff sack, noseeum storage sack, full suspension, spare parts kit, and shipping to the lower 48. Camo outer shell adds $10 due to increasing source costs.Originally Posted by Ewker

The quilt itself is the Potomac, not "KAQ"...that's Patrick's business' name. Since I'm only making his quilt and not taking over his business (I'll have my own site with my own name up very soon), I'm not using KAQ. If that's about as clear as muddy water, sorry
No, I haven't made any changes to Patrick's design. I have some different ideas that I'm in the process of modeling and testing right now, but those will be completely separate products when/if they're available for purchase.
No, I don't have pix yet either. Random circumstances have prevented me from taking any of the several that I've sold thus far - scheduling, rush delivery, weather, etc. I should have some available by the time my site is launched - hopefully in a week or two at the most. It'd be great if some of those who have purchased my quilts would take some pix and send them to me...*hint hint*
