I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a Hotter than H3LL hang and we could do it with the central coast crew on the coast.

Or in the high country...I have a favorite campground on the Kern Plateau that is normally cold at night and very lightly used for that reason. It hit 29 degrees for us one August night and often freezes water on the table.

Maybe Bill ^ could hook us up with a secret coastal spot.

Thank you for the warm welcomes guys. I did a lot of backpacking above the timber line in the Sequoias, so I'm looking for some equally enticing country down within the trees. I sent my HH Exped Asym off for a Mod 2 today. Once I get it back, I need to start practicing deploying that thing. Nothing better than a quick set up to set off a good trip (and to make friends jealous).

I'm game for some Sierra/Sequoia trips this summer. Gotta git up there!!

I know a couple hike-in spots that could handle a group but I'll have to go on the hunt for campground type setup too! Of the campgrounds I'm already familiar with, nothing is jumping out at me right now. I accept this mission.

Hike in/Drive in I'm game for both. I need to explore some new ground. I really need to hike the coast more to work off all the food and spirits I consume when I am there.
