Talking VIDEO: Hawk-eye & Waterbar Jim surive the Rat-ettes THE WHOLE STORY

Sunday the 17th of April ... 2011 ... I had the pleasure of a final trip to the ditch before heading overseas again. The trip consisted of my sister from San Diego, Ca, my sister-in-law & niece from Valdese, NC and of course the famous Waterbar Jim.
Now this was the first trip for the gals to the gorge. So it was if'y that they'd be up to it. Sister and Sister-in-law are in their 50's and don't hike on any kind of basis. All three gals did most excellent!

We hiked Rock Jock to visit Zen Point and Razor Point ... and enjoyed seeing Blue Jay falls in full wet roaring glory! Laughted our arse's off and had a great time. Jim did a lot of laughing and shaking his head!

Now I've been informed when I'm back in country they want me to take them again, the wife and daughter say they are going this time. They're actually a bit jealous they missed out on the fun! The scary one is that my sister-in-law wants me to take her, my wife and her other sisters on a back packing trip in the gorge now!!! I think I might have created a monster!!

This video is the whole version of the video I earlier posted of Debbie getting her trail name

A day in the gorge with the ladies ...

Glad to see you survived Hawk. I'm an Operating Room Nurse and I'm constantly surrounded by women so I can feel your pain
Wow, you could beat off a grizzly with that stick.
Great to see people out on the trail at any age and good for you for taking them out.

Makes me want to be there all the more! So... a bit of Gorge and perfume, huh?
The BJ Falls look lush. Garshk....I do love the Rock Jock. The stacked stones is where Hickery and I rode out the storm last year.
Short sleeves too.... we get some snow today.

    A right goodie there Hawk-Ustus.

I love hiking with people like that. They can be psychotic and freaked out about everything, but they help you to notice new things about the trail and are always good for a chuckle. Seeing that place just makes me want to go there soon. Glad you and the family had a great time and I'm sure they'll be back for more of the gorge.

I have to admit that in 40+ years on the trail that I've encountered a few wild animals ..... but jeesh Hawk, you take them them with you from the start.

Lokks like it was a great time, and great company too.
I'm so out of shape ......I passed gas yesterday and pulled a muscle!
