New to hammocks, old lady kayaker

South Central Kentucky has plenty of water to paddle on and I'm looking to expand on my outdoor time. I've never hammock camped before but decided at my age it's the way to go rather than the type of camping I've done in years past. I'm here looking for tips and ideas to get back outside actually camping a night or maybe two at a time. I am an addicted recreational paddler (no whitewater) and just enjoy the fresh air, warm weather and of course sunshine.

Welcome to HF! My wife and I enjoy paddling and camping as well. Hope to hear about some of your trips. Last year we took a 50 mile trip with a stay at a state park(in a tent, the next month we bought hammocks) along the way. We loved it so much that our friends insist on joining us to do it again this year based on our story.

    Good luck!

    Welcome.
We do have a paddling forum, for members only. But it is money well spent, IMO.
    Enjoy the adventure.

Welcome. I think you'll like (love) using a hammock as apposed to sleeping on the ground.
And you'll find plenty of water folks here too.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

You do not, in any way, qualify as "old."

    Welcome, young'un!
