Hey cphobes,
im thinking about hanging out somewhere out here in western mass this weekend hopefully. i'll have my Blackbird out. i'll give you details if you'd like. there's another guy on here that i'd like to meet up with so we can hang out and check out our hammocks or whatnot. i'll keep you posted.
Okay, finally made the plunge and purchased a used WBBB 1.7 Dbl with amsteel whoopies and ridgeline. Price was right and I used Christmas cash.
Here's my question:
The whoopies are attached already along with the ridge line. I was told it was adjustable. I have yet to set it up so the ridge line will wait. And there in lies the question. How do I go from the whoopies to the anchor points (tree/hook). The person included a set of tree huggers but there's only plastic D rings on them and no biners or dutch clips (I'm assuming that's what I need as plastic D rings won't hold this beast up).
So in plain english with a serious ground dweller accent can anyone explain what I need to purchase to get the tree huggers and whoopies together (IF that's what needs to be done)?
If I recall correctly you need a biner/dutchclip to tighten the tree hugger to the tree and a toggle/biner to connect the whoopie to the tree hugger.
Fire away!

p.s. I yelled Woohoo Buddy when I got the package and I like grape Koolaide...
