I've been reading the thread too and would love to see these in action.

Would you bring them to the Texas Hang for show and tell?

Other than some minor fuzzing I haven't seen any significant wear on my 1/8" amsteel blue lines. I am also using a 10" nominal bury (after the bury it is more like 8.5") and haven't had any slippage, even in the rain. I'm using a WBBB and about a 30 degree sag and I weigh about 155 lb, so I'm not stressing this system too much.
I am using 7/64 amsteel with a 10.5 inch bury, no wear whatsoever, minor stretch where the line goes into the other line, nothing major, still good. I did the 7/64 cause its a tad lighter.

I used the 1/8" and once I went and got the darner needle, it was a piece of cake.

Sorry if this has been answered but:
The rope connects directly from tree strap to hammock? Is water flow a problem? Do you use a drip line?

It's not a problem, the water flows down the tail end of the sling. If you're very concerned with the water flow, you can always take the tail end and tie it back on to the standing end with a loose half hitch.

Thanks, I figured it worked something like that.

I just ordered some Amsteel last night so I will be back in 3-5 business days to plead for help with fixing my mistakes!
