New Cuben fiber Grizz beak... Tadpole style..

First off.. This is not the field test I promised.. Just a quick set up in the backyard labatory......... First time seeing cuben fiber in person..amazing stuff it is..
It is sooo light it is hard to take serious at first.. Hoping to get out this weekend for a full report.. As you can tell, I need some time to practice .. The wind is blowin pretty good right now, and I could easily sit in and cook with no problems.. Pretty cool..
The beak really makes this tadpole a Big tarp.. So far I am loving this..
Hat is off to Tim and Donna.. Wonderful work.. Added a east wing to my tadpole at under 2 oz......

...ZQ here...Thanks for the initial review Mountain Gout.

This Cuben Grizz Beak is cut with the same pattern as the silnylon 2QZQ Grizz Beak to fit a catcut/hex style tarp 10' wide or less.

We are working with Cranky Bear to tweak this design a bit to fit a Cuben Hex Tarp 8 1/2' wide. Stay tuned!

1.8 oz to be exact! And if the tweaking is successful..it will be less than that!

...ZQ here...With input from Cranky Bear, I have resized his cuben beak to fit the standard sized Cuben Tarp. It now weighs a huge 1.2 ounces! It will be in the mail to him today.

Looking forward to CB's report and see these on your website.

I have a HMG ( Hyperlite Mountain Gear's Hex Ultralight Hammock Tarp ) and have not been using it as much since moving to 11' hammocks.
Adding a beak will give me the coverage I need with minimal weigh added to the pack.

Will the CB mod work with my tarp?
    Specifications: Dimensions = 11' x 8’2” x 6’ (length x width x bottom edge)
