    seam sealer

Whats the difference in the mcnett tube or the bottle with the brush built in.

whats another good seam sealer? I am sure nikwax sells one, but what about auto window sealer?

This would be for a tarp btw.

Some work better on silnylon than others. I prefer to make a 50/50 mix of high quality Silicone (in a tube from a Home store) and mineral spirits as a sealer on silnylon.

For sil, raiffnuke turned me on to Permatex Flowable Silicone window sealer. WallyWorld sells it in the auto department, as do most reputable auto parts stores. It was ~$3, if memory serves, and I've yet to go through more than an eighth of the bottle sealing stuff sacks and my poncho.

Get the clear one, though; I'm not sure if the other types work properly with sil.

    Hope it helps!

I also use the Permatex flowable silicone for my tarps. It gets in the stitching really well.

Permatex is the BEST! Sealed my BMJ tarp a few weeks ago. I cut the nozzle very small so it coveres all the thread but you can barely tell it's there.

The Permatex works most excellently. But, it is pricey.

Mine did not come with a two caps. I took pains to seal the opening after use with tape under the screw-on spout cap, But, I just returned to it to find half the tube hardened up, so I must not have stopped an air leak as well as the stuff seals against water leaks.
