Produces 11.11 pounds at maximum extension. 5" relaxed stretches to 9". I have some 3/16 coming from this same seller and will test that once it arrives.
That's pretty much what you'd want from a tie-out tensioner. If the 3/16" comes in above 7#, you just might have a winner.

What's the "strength" of the therabands? sling-shot tubing?

    Oh yeah... Forgot that one...

4" of green thera band stretched to 12" produces 9.3 pounds of force.

Some tips on ordering from OWF. If ordering small amounts of fabric..say < 10 yards or so, mark your order form - "OK to fold". Then request USPS Priority Mail shipping. When I was ordering, I would do that and have my stuff in 3 days.

Very good advice. Shipping from OWF seems to take forever to get to Maine.

What is the shipping like for Supply Captain? I only need a little shock cord and I'd hate to double the price (if not more) with shipping costs.

Check the local boat supply stores. Most of them will carry shock cord.

My order of 100" 1/8 and 100' 3/16 came to $18 + $5 shipping for a total of $23. I ordered this morning and it has already shipped!
