Wondering if the jet holes were placed on top would it still work or does the pot have to be on to pressurize. looking for a stove to go into the emberlit mini I ordered for quick coffee.

Ok, I apologize for my disappearance. I had a family crisis that had to be resolved and had me out of state for a week. There are several left still, those of you that have ordered, I apologize for the delay in shipping, your stoves will definitely be be mailed out asap now that I am back in state. It would still blossom and burn fine, but with the top left open it would use a lot of fuel
