Glad your foot didn't give out on you. Not sure if I'd be willing to eat shrimp hummus m'self--I'm not from Louisiana. Them frog legs did look good, though. Especially with fresh corn on the cob. You can go wrong with Old Bay, but it takes effort.

Which hammock is that? It sure does look comfy. I'm liking the look of that cuben tarp, too...my wallet, less so...

Cool trick with the Ziplock. Not sure if I'd trust one with my camera deliberately submerged. Fine for rain, and I'm willing to gamble at stream crossings, but I don't know if I'd deliberately put it under water. You're a braver man than I. Glad the baggie held!

Looking forward to Part 2 and more!
The corn took on all the flavors in that DO....sooooo good.

    Good baggie for sure!

Thanks on the foot. Ached at end of day...flat walking was the worst.

I get Hickery to carry it. Thanks Red.

Naw...thar shrimp stuff is just Hickery's normal lunch spread!!!! We got nasty to come for sure. We did not get a storm this year though.......oh well.

fun to watch the 50-something boys at play! Have you ever had another party come upon you when you're doing your various Hickery Brothers signature song snippets? Can imagine they'd just sort of back away, carefully, and quietly...

Great fun to watch. I think the half life of a Shug camera must be about two stunts. You must have new ones air lifted in each day. Looking for the next report.

Entertaining as always. Again, you have made me think of how long it has been since I have had frog legs. I kinda want to try that shrimp paste.

Great vid. as always and until I can make it down to the Gorge myself Ill live vicariously through your videos and enjoy the piney woods in these parts. Thanks for the awesome entertainment as always, its great how you always "shake it, shake it, Shugeree" in the vids. Always gets me dancing. Looking forward to part 2,3,4,5,6......and all the adventures to come.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

TIS a gleefully way to wake up in the morn
with the hickory brothers singing on their sojourn.
To await to see what the day might hold,
we are blessed to hear their voices so bold,
    declaring for all to hear
    "WE ARE THE HICKORY BROTHERS"
the voice of the gorge arises with the sun and settles down upon our favorite sons
thanks from all the other sectors

Holly number two, an ad! Good, that’s the video I’ve been waiting/hoping for. Your big trip to the Linville Gorge. I was a bit disappointed to see that it only went for 11 minutes, and I was gearing up to give you a big lecture on why you should make your videos longer (I need to make mine shorter – working on it).

Anyway... I pressed play and was pleased to see “part one” appear on the screen (just as well, Buster). I hit pause to admire the crafty and creative Hickery heading. It must have taken a while to make. Plantar fasciitis doesn't sound too good! During the brief silence after one of you, or both of you sing, I listen for someone near by to shout out, “SHUT UP!” lol It must freak the wildlife out.

Thanks for the video, Mr.Shug, it was pure joy from go to whoa!
