Reflective barrier....how to put anchor holes?

I have a huge piece of reflective barrier that I plan to use as an underpad. I would like to punch a hole in each opposite corner in order to anchor it to the attachments on my Expedition. But since the material is so thin, I am afraid that any holes will rip right out.

    Any suggestions?

get 2' grosgrain and reinforce the corners with that. find a coglans tarp grommet kit and attach those. should increase the load bearing surface area enough to reduce chances of ripping. or whip it.

Have you had any trouble with the duct tape edges coming off?

I have not seen any issues with it so far.. I just used a 2 1/2" square, on each side.. Used the hole punch that comes with the grommet kit. Then just smash the Brass Grommet in place. Does not have hard loads on it.. I just use it to keep it from moving around.

Cost wise it's cheap to do. If it rips, will just add another one.

I'd skip the grommets but that's just me. I put loops on the corners of plastic and tyvek tarps for use as groundcloths with duct tape. I just make a loop of 550 cord or shockcord. Secure this to the corners with about a 6" strip of duct tape. I'm not sure if the duct tape will start to curl or peel up over time but it should last a season or two at least.
