Hiker Pole Side Pullout for Tarp

Wanted to share the way I've been pulling out the sides of my tarp using my hiker poles.

I was getting a bit annoyed by having so many lines coming off my tarp just begging to catch myself on while walking around.

Although the hiker poles do rest on the ridgeline of the tarp, I don't really see any issue of premature wear.

Thanks for the video.....looks like it works really well. Gotta like a multipurpose item.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

Nice. Any tendency for the pole to slip to one side?

I use my arrow mods, set of 2 for the tarp pull outs is 2.5 oz, 48" long, by using 2413 shafts cut and 2117's for the inserts glued inside the 2413's with hot melt glue. Works super great for me and don't weigh anything.
