Any Experience with these bags?

Looking for some advanced forum help here. I am in the market for a new sleeping bag. I know that alot of forum members swear by UQ's and TQ's, but I have always liked bags for a whole host of reasons.

My criteria is:
sub $150.00
20-30* rating
synthetic (although not opposed to down if the price is right)
3lbs. or less
Left Zip (I sleep head right/feet left in my ENO DN)

So, here are the three that I've been looking at (in no particular order).....

Sierra Designs Utopia 30 - 2lbs. 11oz., $115, EN34, shoulder: flex to 65"
Columbia Reactor 15 - 2lbs. 14oz., $140, EN31, shoulder : 64"
Mountain Hardware Extralamina 20 - 3lbs. 3oz., $140, EN25, shoulder : 66"

It looks like they all compress down to about the same size.

Does anyone have any experience with these bags that can provide some useful info? Any other ideas that I haven't listed here? Please share.

I have a high peak extreme pak. Meets all of your criteria at an awesome price point.

How about a quilt instead of a sleeping bag? RevelationX from enLightened Equipment is right around your price point. So much lighter and it will compress much smaller than any of the aforementioned bags.

That High Peak looks pretty good, but every place is sold out.

The revelation is a bit more than I can spend, but the prodigy look pretty nice.....

Walmart had a run of duck down filled 30 or 40 degree bags for around 70 dollars.

I think I may take a look at one of these, perhaps add some down if it suits me.

Search and check the thread out before hand though. Might have been something I missed.

Maybe look into the Kelty Cosmic down 20 degree. $99 on sale. Just over 2lbs. Just got mine, have not tested it, but it looks real nice!

I've bought two new sleeping bags this year, one for me and one for my son. We haven't actually slept in them yet, except for in the garage for a couple hours! One is a North Face Gold Kazoo 30° down bag that weighs right at 2lbs and was $149 on sale at www.sportchalet.com. The other one was a Mountain Hardwear Phantom 32 down bag left zip that weighs 25 ounces and cost $189 at www.campsaver.com. They are both nice bags in the regular size although the Phantom is a little snug around the shoulders, it still fits fine, just a little snug with no wasted space. By the way I am 5' 10" and 165 lbs. These down bags really pack down nice! I still think I am going to give one of these to my daughter and get a top quilt! Good luck!

ended up purchasing the Sierra Designs Utopia 30. It is 2lb. 11oz. in stuff sack and expandable for my bulbous belly. Fairly lightweight for a 30* synthetic. I will receive the bag today and can share some initial thoughts with anyone interested.
