Yes, we started where the Foothills Trail crosses SC130 at the first gravel parking lot on SC130 north of the Duke Power Bad Creek gated access. The Upper Whitewater Falls visitor parking area is just a couple hundred yards north of this as well.
You will love this hike although November might be a little cold for swimming, I think that the lack of leaves should give excellent views.
