    i got my hammock today

its a really great hammock. same length as the claytor mosquito and expedition, but it is 6 inches wider,i am going to wiegh it at the post office tommorrow,it has a double bottom but it is sewn together all the way around
the double bottom is mainly for added bug protection.29.99 plus shipping of 18.00 total 47.99,great hammock, great price,it has its on spreader bars for netting, just add elastic cord at each end,the webbing is kinda short only about 7.5 feet at each end but not a problem to upgrade.i highly recomend this hammock, neo

I just ordered mine. Guess I'll have an extra hammock now to loan unsuspecting victim...err friends. From the comparison chart on the HH page, this hammock is either a half pound or over a pound lighter. The Scout I have is listed at 2lbs 13 oz, but I don't know if that is with the tarp included or not. The tarp for the scout is listed at 10 oz. The jungle hammock is 28 oz, 800 gr., 1.7 lbs (guess who just found a cool unit converter...)

The jungle hammock is 6" shorter, and actually a few inches narrower than the scout, but the spreader bars may make it seem wider... Guess I'll find out.

It's all neo's fault. He is a bad influence.

I'm pretty sure that Hennessy lists the weight including everything, tarp, stuff sack for the hammock and stuff sack for the tarp. He isn't too specific about what he include sin the weight, but others have weighed the hammock alone and their results are way under what Hennessy lists.

    neo,

Be sure to post some real life pics of the hammock, preferably set up beside your Claytor.

A couple of months ago, he got upset about being told a pic he posted wasn't appropriate for the forum, then he 'quit' the forum and went on a spree of deleting his posts. That was very destructive to many threads. I'd guess that's when he got locked out. Later, he had a change of mind and came back. At least that's the story as I understand it.

BTW, welcome to the forum Nightwalker.

because the moderators got in a tizzy when he posted pics of his kids in their kayaks while on a kayaking/hammocking trip.
