Welcome from Waterloo. Give me a holler if you're ever heading up to Yellow River State Forest.

I hang up there 5-6 times a year. There are about 25 miles of backpacking trails, 4 backpacking campsites, 2 car campgrounds, 2 equestrian campgrounds and a couple of nice trout streams.

I am near Howard H Cherry scout camp. It is near Central City, IA. I am not sure about hanging there. Our troop is going out in June for summer camp. I will definetly find out before I go if I can hang a hammock. Looks like we have more people from Iowa on here than I thought. Yellow River looks like a place we might need to get together for a 'hang'.

It would make for a great group hang.

There was some talk about the Yellow River at the first northern hang. Randy we need to plan a hang for the Yellow River sometime.
