    No, don't feel dumb, a little or otherwise. I've been around here for a looooong time and still forget about things. Besides, as long as you're still a single digit poster then there is no such thing as a dumb question. Careful though, your on post #9 as I type this.

    No, I was in the Army, but not in aviation, as I was a radio operator. I currently fly A-300's for a cargo airline...

    well, good deal, man. I've always wanted to fly something... guess I'll have to shell out the time and cash for a pilot's license one of these days. But where will I get the money for a P-38 Lightning?

    The P-38 and the P-51 are my favorite aircraft of all times. I have a friend that flies a 51 for a museum and another friend that has a P-38 type rating on his license because he used to fly for a museum as well.

    It was quite common for crews to hang up hammocks in the back of military transports and catch a nap on long hauls. Wonder if you could hang between the twin booms of the p-38?

    I need to fire up my photoshop and see if I can make something up.

    haven't been back there in YEARS since the death of my left knee! It was revived but it's never been the same since.
