PoleHangin everywhere
Six 4' sections are in that set.
??? If you are referring to a "center support pole" in the left tripod of my photo, there isn't one. That's a tree strap hanging down. I use tree straps and MSH's to connect the hammocks whoopie slings.
I used set of 12 sections you asked about to make the two tripods. The fiberglass spreader thingies are not used. I bought the other set of 6 sections (only) to use 3 for the ridgepole and have an "extra" 3 sections.
The 4' pole sections in both sets are identical and although they are advertised as "used", mine were new. The larger set with the bag and (unused) spreaders works out a few dollars cheaper with shipping than buying two of the 6 section sets.
If making more then one stand, you would need to figure out how many sections you needed and see what combination of sets worked out the best.
gmcttr, that is a good looking turtlelady stand! Wasn't able to take my stand to Va. this past weekend in the rental car due to the length. Going to be working on something to make a shorter folded package.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
When I ordered these, my thought was that they could be used to make a TL or a TD stand. I would use a spacer inside of the tube if I was going to bolt hinges on. A piece of 1/2" pvc pipe cut to a snug fit and put inside the tubes with the bolts routed through it would let you crank down the nuts without fear of distorting the tubing.

Do I have enough cord? Of course...I have the requisite 200'+ of amsteel in 7/64" and 1/8" as well as 100' of mule tape and ~200' of 1" polyester webbing. I may even get by without having to buy more for this project.
Somehow, as I typed, I forgot that was my plan. I've moved ridgepoles up and down on other stands to suit different suspensions in the past. Thanks for the reminder.

I just did a price check on trying to do two set ups, and cheapest shipping came to $106.11. Holy cow that's a lot!
