I want to go next season. It would be great if we could get enough people off HF to book out a trip.
Ely looks like a great area. No wonder it looks secluded, Ely is a ways from even Duluth.
Ely is about 1 1/2 hr drive north of Duluth so it is up there. I hope my video stirs up some interest from HF for next season. They like groups of 6 and begin trips when it is cold enough for the dogs and enough snow.

Fantastic trip! How cold was it? You are brave to do that for your first winter camp. That looked like so much fun! May I ask what they charge you to go on a trip like that ?

Thanks for sharing your winter wonderland!

Terrific trip bluejeans....I have been lucky enough to ride the dogs before. Fun and more work than one would think.
Sorry to hear your hot water bottle leaked. I always put mine in a gallon baggie as a redundancy system))))))) But you handled it well.
    Fun to watch your trip.

It got down to -4*F one nite and that day it was in the teens, that was as cold as it got. The trip was a blast. Check out www.whitewilderness.com As they offer a variety of trips to choose from and they all have different costs. It wasnt too bad since they put you in a room the nite before and after with meals and they feed you very well on the trip.

It is worth the effort and I am sure you would enjoy the experience with your friends.

Well next time the hot water bottle will keep my boots warm. I never was cold just damp and I left my wet long johns on they dried out fine. The next nite my goose down bag had large frozen chunks of down but slept toasty. Thanks for watching my video. I've got lots to learn but had fun editing and piecing it all together. Again thanks for watching.
