    i tie it on mine. i do the knot about 1 1/2 feet from the buckle

    I've used my buckles with my Stapworks poly webbing. I tie a loose enough slippery hitch so it doesn't make the webbing go into buckle crooked but, it's there in case it slips.

    P.S. It hasn't slipped yet.

    i've had 1000 LBS on them with no slipping at all.

    i think that is the problem. it is when the tension is taken off them that there can be an issue. think about how it's loosened. anyway, my hammock fell one time when i was back using rings b/c my 2 straps weren't totally aligned. i tie now, whether it's for need or just want, i don't know

    At 260 my experience with the WBBB cinch buckles is they lock into place and will not budge. In fact if I tighten up the suspension too much they are very tough to loosen up. Complete trust here and no knot.
