Howdy from Northern California

After looking at this forum for a few weeks I feel like the only member from Northern California.

I have no hammock yet, thought I would research before spending money. I have been a backpacker for a few years, but so far I sleep on the ground. When I started backpacking in 2008 or 2009 I looked at the hammocks that REI had including the Hennessy and eno, but the price/value wasn't there for me. Little did I know about this forum or I would never have bought my nice 1 person tent.

My current plan is to buy a tableclothsfactory.com table cloth to be converted to a hammock, and the rest of my hammock specific gear will most likely be DIY. That is of course I can convince my lady friend to teach me how to use her very high end sewing machine.

Welcome to the forum. There are other folks from N Cali and they'll be in touch eventually. Lots of great DIY on the forum,,,don't be afraid to ask questions.

Oh, I've been asking questions already. Had a few for Grizz about the Grizz Bridge but those have now been answered and I'll be trying my hand at making a Grizz Bridge later this year.
