Good job on your pole mods. I've done the same thing sort of for my BMBH and love the 1/2 pound of weight savings. The only thing that sucks is when I want to put my tarp up in porch mode now I have to find camp sticks to make that happen. Still worth it though.

thanks.i bet you could.call manufacturer and ask for inside diamiter of upper pole.then you will know if the spreader bars would fit.good luck it was easier than i thought.the whole mod cost me one dollar 68 cents.

what if instead of cutting down the pins you just drill a hole threw the coupler and then you might not have to glue it in place

thought about that ,but the pins are plastic, and the strap couldnt slide by them on the coupling if they ran through the coupling.if the coupling could move in a circular motion it would eventualy wear the plastic on the side of the straps.it would be harder to get them through a revolving target than to just glue it.

makalu ultra light corks.i bought them used.look for the inside diamiter measurement of the upper pole ,then you can compare this measurement to any brand on the market.i cant speak for the handle configuration though.
