I'll read up on the warbonnet style and see if it works on my daughter's turquoise one since my silver paracord came in the mail today...

It's not going to hold any weight. The channel is only for cinching the end. The Whoopie is lark's headed over the knot formed by cinching.

Yeah I went and read through the thread you linked... I have some silver 550 that I was going to do standard whipping with, now I can try this...

I tried the warbonnet method... It is such a small seam, a coat hanger barely fits... And that's after ripping out the seams at the end... I got a really thin wore through, attached my hollow 550 and then couldn't get it to pull through... So I backed out and went with the tried and true whip it method...

Anyone make a 90 x 132? What's it like? Too wide?

I've made one of the 90x132 and they are very wide. Very comfy though. Spaceweaseal did one as well. They are nice, but I feel like they are bit overkill. The 126x60 is really more than enough for most people. You can get a very flat lay and it's very strong.

Even gutted paracord is much heftier than needed. In theory a thread would work for creating the Warbonnet whipping. The only purpose of the line run through the hem is to allow you to create the "knob". It handles no load and if it were to break, the knob would still hold its shape unless you took the actual suspension off and then things could come undone.

I like the 90"x132" ones to sleep in because the extra fabric keeps everything, (TQ pillow) in the hammock. I prefer the 60"x126" to chill in while I watch tv and they are very comfortable to sleep in as well. I really don't see too much difference in the comfort between the two. I even have a couple of the 90x156 and they are just, "insanely big" but you can throw a party in them so they do have their place..
