SilvrSurfr > it's a small world. I taught and coached at Elba High School last year. Dunno if your into sports but they're currently undefeated, #1 in the state, and a legit state title contender.

I went to school at Elba Elementary for first and second grade. I had the same teacher that my mother had when she was going to school.

I just checked Google Maps and saw that they moved the school as a result of that 1990 flood. My how things have changed.

welcome to HF. Great gear list--impossible to go wrong with some of the good cottage industry folks you find here. We'll be looking forward to some reports on how it all goes for you.

A north Florida welcome! My son and I are getting up to Conecuh in November to hike and hang. There are a few trails around here, but I sure wish there were more. Of course there's always canoeing and other opportunities.

Most importantly, there are lots of great trees from which we can hang around here! Good to have you with us.

Are you doing a group hang or just a personal hike/hang?
