    Jumpsuit Hammock

Has anyone ever thought about attatching the head end and foot end of a hammock to a jumpsuit to have a wearable hammock of sorts. You could just lay the jumsuit on the hammock and sew it along the shoulders, lower back, and one side leaving it open on one side to put in a pad. You'd have to devise some sort of way to stow it into the suit when it wasn't deployed. This wouldn't be very practical but might be fun to tool around with.

I'm not sure if this is serious or not, but the mental imagery conjured up by your description is quite humorus in my mind. I'm seeing something only Shug would dare hang in.

The head end could be the collar cut like a triangle with the tied end or ring and all hanging down your back,
the suspension rope at the head could then as it is at waist level anyways
    could double as a belt.
The foot end triangle could be attached to the same waist area,
but while not sleeping could be pulled over everything and up over your head,
    like a rain coat.

While setting up, one could first tie the head end to one tree . . .

. . . but to tie up the foot end and get the right tension,
one might need a block and tackle.

The big bonus is: no matter if one end is higher or not,
you wouldn't slide down to the foot end.

Then one wouldn't need those pesky little pull up loops like they have in the CJH

I'd like to see this concept taken one step further: make the suspension such that the hammock serves as a parachute.

You put on your jumpsuit in the morning, hang between a couple trees at the DZ until conditions are right to jump, take off in the plane without changing clothes, jump out of the plane, pop the hammock/chute, drift gently to earth, then connect back up to your trees and take a nap after all that excitement.

This would make late night pee trips so much harder, unless you flipped over...

Just what I was thinking! A squirrel suit of sorts--the only thing more awesome than hammocking is extreme hammocking.

Who'll be the first to try it?
You're gonna need a bigger hammock
