Shugs Video Take on the Warbonnet BlackBird

Since receiving this hammock I have stared at it, crawled in and out of it, snoozed in it and slept over night in my back 40 in it. I finally feel somewhat qualified to do some impressions on it.
Had a blast doing this vid but it was the first one on here that I have done that I actually had to stay pretty on track as this crowd knows when ya' drift. My usual palaver and stuff on here too. Lots of 'world noise" ... planes, dogs, cats, birds, trains, sirens. I don't even notice it when I shoot.
I will include an out take reel as well for those who appreciate "low brow".
When shooting this I kept on filming into the night so more vid coming soon. Look for "Live from the Hammock" .. Shugs Day.... alky stoves and stuff....and just some of my day. But most all from the hammock.
I just knock these thing out and am having a ton 'o fun doing them. Good to do when work is a wee slow as creativity breeds creativity. Plus I just love this stuff and appreciate having people that seem to enjoy watching. Too cool! When I edit you would not believe how much I have to "cut out" as I can go on a bit. Ramble on..... and on ....
    Here it is.....

Another fantastic video Shug. I am still laughing at the shot of you in the tree flapping you arms. It brought tear to my eye I laughed so hard.

Very nice whatchagotthere Shug, but better watch out for that Strange Bird flapping all around there. You may need to rig the tarp with him around.

Great review as well... now to go see the outtakes... whoobuddy...

Another great video from our local looney!

Just kidding Shug, you are not local...

I have GOT to get me one of these hammocks. I thought your review was very informative and I think Brandon....er...umm...I mean Warbonnet will be impressed as heck. Between the Bridges out there and this Blackbird I am torn! Hopefully I will get to see them both in action at Mt Rogers!

Shug, the bird hat was a perfect touch. One suggestion, you should really try to have more fun in your videos. Acting serious like that all the time is going to give you indigestion or something....

Thank you so much for yet another entertaining video. I am going to add it to my achives!

oh my god that was brilliant !!!

    Best yet!

A masterful blend of both solid information and satire.
That was absolutely fantastic!!! LOVED IT. I will watch it several more times for sure.

Also the vid quality was looking mighty good for youtube!

Those still backgrounds with not much movement have got to be the ticket.

Many applause and laughs all around.

Excellent... once again! Shug, thanks for sharing your talents with us as well as your reviews and know-how. Can't wait to show my wife and I don't say that about many hammock related things. Think I'll watch the videos again before going to bed.

Hey ... I was the looney-bird. That would be a interesting hammock, huh?
Thanks for the words of kindness.

I have had pretty good luck loading into YT with a smaller file ... 360x480.
    Glad you liked it. Thankee.

I hereby nominate Shug for the HF Clown Laureate. He can have the job as long as he likes, as far as I'm concerned.

Enjoyed the antics, Shug. I also liked how you pointed out that you can be symmetric with your asymmetry (thems just big math words for you can lie with your feet to the left as well as to the right). The Blackbird suspension is symmetric, all the magic stuff about it lies above the waterline, so to speak. So while there is an "obvious" orientation for the asymmetric lay, the "below the waterline" part doesn't care. You get to go flat on either diagonal.

    Keep 'em coming!

    Hey Shug,

As I watched your video again I noticed that there is a loop in your ridge line (you can see it at the 2:38 mark). Is that something that you added or did you do that to shorten the ridge line?
