    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

I've been sick for a couple of days... the only thing I've done is cough, sleep, and sew up my 2nd tarp (a diamond camo tarp). After this hang, I'll have it sil'd and maybe two support bars fitted on both ends made of bamboo.

I was wondering if the trails were clearly marked if hiking from the Nebo Ridge parking lot? I saw one map that showed a singe trail and another that had multiple trails running in all directions. I would like to hike in from there on Friday, but wouldn't mind being dropped off from someone who parked at the closer lot on Sunday if it turns out to be a long hike. I need to be on the road around 11:30ish to meet my lovely daughter for lunch in Greencastle .

No marked trails, sorry. You pretty much navigate by topo and compass.

??? Really ??? The Nebo Ridge Trail is supposed to be a bike trail, hard to imagine the off-road bike guys stopping to take a compass read. No markers?
I guess the trail must be pretty obvious.

I'm hiking in from the southern trailhead. If I'm not at Brown's Hollow by dinner time send out the dogs.

    someone's bringing a dog, right?

We won't be on the Nebo Ridge Bike trail for long.

YOU won't. I will be for 8 miles....

But maybe I understand...you're talking about the trail to Browning Hill. For that you just follow the sounds of the sirens whispering in the trees

I was gonna' bring my Teddy bear (well actually his name is Max), but I am afraid he will become possessed when we get to the Indianapolis stonehedge and take me out when I'm sleeping!

As long as we don't encounter a Balrog or a Banshee looking for someone to take the final ride in the stagecoach from the sky, this shire-dweller will be okay.
Besides we could always offer up AnimalControl as a sacrificial lamb. He won't see them coming because his eyes will be covered up with his blindfold.

I am also bringing my lucky rabbits foot, a shamrock, and some magic salt in case one of the Browning Hill haints gets inside the perimeter.
I was gonna' bring my bird-song identification chart, but according to legend the birds don't make a sound anywhere near the hill.

Shaking with fear already Barefoot Child.

Oh yeah, and I almost forgot....that due to the interruption of the magnetic field....any kind of flashlight doesn't work either....only a real flame will do the job.

    BTW-Does silnylon burn?
