Ordered 4/20 and no updates as of 5/9 - Typical?

    Guys,

Wondering if its typical to see long delays in receiving orders from this vendor. I ordered 4/20 and haven't heard a peep and today its 5/9. Obviously, I am not thrilled as this sort of delay and lack of updates is not typical these days with a majority of products and vendors. It's reasonable to generally expect to receive products within 14 days or so on the outside when ordering within the same country.

    Just wondering:

    1) Should I be concerned?
    2) Is this sort of delay something that has every been communicated to anyone? I didn't see anything on the site to indicate that long delays are expected.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the welcome

Ok, I see there can be improvements in customer service. I had sent email asking for an update, but haven't heard back yet. Looks like this vendor takes a while to ship. I ordered from JRB the same day and that order arrived very quickly.

    Welcome!

Depends on what ur ordering. Wb guy makes each item to order if I understand correctly.

I've ordered custom holsters & leather belts that have had 6-8 weeks lead time. Custom knives 3+ months..

WB product is worth the wait :-)

Lots of cottage industries can't possibly keep every item they make in stock, ready to ship. Some are custom orders, for instance, that won't be on any shelf. JRB is different in that they don't do custom work. They can make enough of each item to keep on the shelves and ship right away. I think it's well worth the wait for the quality of gear that you end up with. Patience is a virtue, after all.

Im looking back at records..emails and it took a little over two weeks in.the off season for my hammock and tarp. Well worth it. Most vendors if they are capable of a heavy spring order rush have some help. But in order to keep the quality high...its hard to delegate ones vision. Also JRB is pretty good at stocking their items and do no custom work...kinda different plane. Then their is the customer service. All done by one person usually. Try again. Use the info@?????.com and his personal one. Perhaps even a Pm. Things happen even to the best of us. I like the the persistent yet polite approach.:-) just ask Adam @ HG.

    Best of luck.

    Supply and Demand

You can get a Big Mac in 2 minutes. Prime Rib usually takes longer.

The delay is because of the high demand for an excellent product. I'd rather wait a couple weeks longer than pay an extra hundred bucks or have my hammock order rushed through production.

Same thing with others around. I just try to order a month before I need stuff.

I been self employed for 16yrs. Its difficult to predict a lead time for projects. I can have every good intention to do a certain task(s) - then the dog eats the cat, client calls come in more than expected, answering emails, troubleshooting something else -- & the whole day is gone. those easy task(s) I promised a client now gets pushed to the next morning.

Custom gear wait time may be longer - After you get that gear & Its lasting quality helps you forget about that wait.
