Wink Never new it could be so hard to get some heine!!!

For some time now I have been interested in putting together a UL cook set and since this is a dry area I have been looking for an opportune time to make a beer run. After stopping at about 12 different locations more than an hour from home a cashier was finally kind enough to tell me that state law prohibits the sale of beer larger than 16 ounces. So if anyone could help in the purchase of some heine (prefer 2 or 3 24oz mini kegs as my wife will not allow the purchase of strange heine ) it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bret

Gotta love all the sensible laws! I'm pretty sure that if I buy a six pack of 12 oz brews, I'll end up causing more sin than if I buy one 24 oz Heinie keg!

And in the city of Chicago it's against the law to by 12 oz. singles of beer. You MUST buy the larger bottles/cans or an entire six pack. It was intended to discourage "winos" buy making it harder for them to get beer since the larger containers cost more. Odd? I still see about the same number of homeless on the street. But I have noticed an increase in drunks on the commuter train ride home!

I think the real reason was to increase liquer tax revenue.

I live just north of many dry counties in the northern part of Arkansas. Of course all the little towns have a bunch of tobacco stores, a bunch of the kids and their parents are zooming around on meth, and they all have to drive some distance to pick up large quantities of liquor in Missouri. Not to mention that in the summer the river is overrun by wall to wall floaters that are almost all seriously intoxicated, to the point of unruliness and violence, in the dry county. It scares me to go on that river, it's not even worth all the college girl toplessness. The liquor stores are lined up on the Ark-MO state lines, and you can bet they don't want to archaic Arkansas laws changed...I've even heard rumors of Arkansas county officials receiving free liquor to keep things as they are.

The problem with that Chicago law is it punishes the citizens who aren't wino's more than the wino's. Same thing with Chicago gun control.

Send me your address and I'll send you a couple after I empty them. I will open them with a sideopener so you can do whatever you want with the lids.
