Would a focus on Hammock Camping with Disabilities have any interest for people? I'm no certified expert... but I do have some personal experience.

Or maybe a DIY intro to Thread injectors or something like that?
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Thank you gentlemen for that vote of confidence. I will be sure to bring some to the next hang. Thinking about making some carrot bread ones too if I have time. Does everyone like the nuts in them? Or would you prefer some plain ones? I can make them either way... just have to make sure I mark them.

If not, any thougths on how I can best pull off a "set up" contest in this open area?
There are some trees that can be used in the area. I'm sure we can find a suitable location for you. Although we will mostly be in the furnace stack area, we really have the whole park at our disposal.

I will be contacting those on the program ideas list in the coming weeks to gather some details. I need to submit a tentative program at the end of the month to the Park Manager and Larry at the AT Museum so they can put together some flyers/literature. Be thinking about your idea and what you might need, questions needing answers, etc. I'm thrilled with the response so far and see this coming together for a great hang in the spring. Thanks to all.

As this event is planned & actually experienced, it will be a great help in planning for a similar type event scheduled to take place this fall in VA.

I plan to be part of this MAHHA, but I & others will be learning from you here! Not only will this MAHHA be a learning experience for the "Hammock Education" event linked above, but possibly more to come... who knows were.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

I'm thinking we need hammock stands so things are all together or in a line. I may work on making a display of different hammock suspensions. I have to think about it.

    2Q,

I think we should loose the idea of vending at this hang.... truth be known we come for the fun and comradie...Also vending would get in the way of the flint knapping demo...

If anyone needs some specific product brought to the hang that is doable as it is car camping...They can just get incontact with us as it gets closer.

We can bring a couple hammock stands.
