We are thinking hard about your blue gray UQ. ( thought we were not ready to make the leap to winter gear. But your UQ is making us think.)
    Have checked the site twice.

In case we can't resist. What method of payment ? paypal ?

Most SnugFits are rated to 30F, which isn't "winter gear" in NY. Awesome product...just want you to have realistic expectations about using it by itself in winter where you live.

Paypal is fine with me - I've only used the snugfit in Texas - it was January and got pretty chilly at night - the snug kept me warm.

I particularly like how their are no open ends, it really snugs right up to the hammock.

But like Just Jeff said, think about it.

    Just a thought....
"Winter gear" also includes proper clothing suited for the expected temps and other beneficial items like vapor barriers, weathershields, and proper tarp setup.

Last year at Mt Rogers, my Snugfit kept me toasty and it was somewhere around 8-10°.

Agree completely. Augmenting with warm clothing or a pad would take it to much lower temps than freezing. And a much more economical solution if most of your camping is right around freezing, too.

Ditto! Was very toasty in mine both nights.

Hmmm...I probably would've been very interested had I not just ordered a JRB MW 4. That has, for the time being, depleted the UQ purchase budget.

    Still thinking about your SnugFit.
Yet hope someone else will have the pleasure of it and I won't have to figure out
how to fit it into the 'gear plan' ( budget).

Any winter hanging wouldn't be in upstate NY, but warmer southcentral PA or NV.

Have worked outdoors in numerous winters, sometimes in 10* or lower.
    Dressed to meet the weather.

Intrigued by hanging in 30*. We have tented into the 20*.
