Best Pad for mosquito Jungle hammock

I just bought a mosquito jungle hammock and I'm wondering what pad to get.
This is my first hammock and I will be using it on kayak trips with my son in the warmer months from May to October in WV.

I am an advocate for Reflectix. Extremely lightweight. I've used it in all seasons. On a recent 16 degree night, I was a bit cool but still was ok to sleep all night. Next time I'm out that cold, I'll bring two layers. Problem is, if you don't already have some lying around, it can be quite pricey to buy. If you already have a simple foam-style pad used for ground sleeping, give that a try before spending money on anything new.

evazote ccf from gossamer gear is good. you can cut it to whatever dimensions you like. i'd cover it with ripstop though for tear resistence, comfort, and wicking properties.

Yep, I like the GG pads in my hammocks if I'm using a pad. I've got a Claytor Expedition that I've used the pads with; works great, but any pad will do fine. The GG pads just rock; pretty cheap too!

I typically use the 1/8" GG pad, but I think most others use the 1/4" version. The 1/4" version is FREAKING HUGE, which does make it great for cutting to fit you or your hammock.

I've never tried the egg crate pads. I think I remember reading somewhere that they aren't very effective, so I never tried one. However, you can't believe everything you hear.

I paddle canoes, my fav being my old town tripper. I use a camprest in my JH and have been pleased. Sometimes, especially those warm summer nights, it is too much. I then go to a short foam pad, which I carry anyway either for the ground, or just a sit pad. I have been real pleased.

A number of people I have taken on canoe trips this last year who are repeat customers have requested hammocks for next year. I have a feeling I am going to be shifting my clientele from the ground to the trees. Especially those who have bad knees, backs, etc. after a long day of paddling really like the ease with which I get in and out of my hammock after a great nap or a night of rest. They see my smiling face and my non-sore body with envy. Paddling and hanging definitely make good partners.
