Not to be one to sit on our hands while we have been busy with all our other duties we've completed a new foot box option that will be available starting Monday Oct 20, 2014. You will now have the option of a fully insulated mummy style foot box on 20*F(-6*C) and 0*F(-18*C) Flight Jacket Top Quilts. This provides a full and continuous insulation envelope in the foot box making for some HAPPY TOES!!! This will provide the ultimate in warmth for those cold weather quilts. Priced at $25usd

I'm so glad I contacted you guys about this option, my toes are warmer just looking at it. As a matter of fact, those are the colors I chose. I cant wait till it gets here!

Good timing for me for once! I'm starting to fear what this quilt is going to cost, add this, add that... But it's an investment that will be worth it and last a long time.

Wow this looks awesome! Could this be done for an already produced sewn flat seam? I love my Flight Jacket the way it is but this could make it even better.

Any chance this will be offered on your 30-degree Flight Jackets? If not, any insight about how a 20-degree Flight Jacket with this option would compare to the warmth of a 30-degree Flight Jacket plus down socks, say Arrowhead FlameThrower? I was about to order a 30-degree Flight Jacket and am trying to decide if I should get a 20-degree quilt to take advantage of this option. The feet are the trouble area for me when the temperature is in the teens, which I sometimes encounter but not often enough to want a heavier quilt in general. I hope this is in keeping with your thread. Congrats on yet another innovation.

As the temperature rating of the quilt rises above the 20*F mark the benefits of the insulated foot box are diminished and the advantages of the standard snap and draw foot box come into play. being able to vent and use as a blanket is certainly a plus as it warms up We do offer foot box over stuff on our entire product line and this may be of interest to you since your feet are the problem. FYI, Missy Lou is a cold sleeper with cold feet and she uses a 20*F TQ even in summer with an insulated foot box.
