Hello all! I know this is extremely short notice but talk of it only came up last night. I and a couple friends will be camping at white ranch park near golden. If you Google it all info needed as well as directions are posted on the website. I can also try to give directions if needed. I would plan on carrying water. I don't know if the water is still on. But I will try to find that out. It's as short 1 mile walk to the sawmill campground. I plan on arriving later in the afternoon. Probably around 3 or so. The sites are first come first serve. And we usually try to get the lower sites. I believe it is site 17 and the surrounding sites. Great trees around there. As the week progresses we can work out a firm plan.

I'm in.
My guess would be the waterwell has a chain on it this late in the season but I'll bet there is still plenty of free cut and split firewood.

I bet there will be wood for sure! I went last year in November and there was still wood. In my party we have a confirmed 3 people.

One of these trips I will join you guys. Would be nice to go with some fellow hangers to check out some other systems. My bonehead friends all still tent camp.

Hello there from ABQ. My brother in law and I have jumped into hammock camping with both feet. Maybe next year we can arrange a hang somewhere between Denver and ABQ. I love crossing the boarder and climbing some mountains. You guys have fun. We will be heading to some mountains near Santa Fe in 2 wks for a quick over nighter to try out his new Warbonnet Ridge Runner.

Hi all,
I'm thinking about arriving at the parking lot at White Ranch around 2:00. Do I need to choose an available site before heading up to the campground?

I would. Grab/signup for any site on the lower loop. We all try to hang around #17, it has the best view of downtown Denver, unless the boyscouts have the area.
They usually prefer the upper loop.
