I took the plunge to do it myself UQ, now I just need to either source some down out of thrift store finds, or just bite the bullet and buy some from smileyme, looks like they had the best price at 62.00 shipped.

Sweet! Have you decided on baffle height? I'm still debating for mine.

Nice, the black/brown combo looks great too, I have a matching set :) now get that down ordered and show us some pics when it's finished.

You'll love Argon. It's got a great feel to it. I haven't heard of smileyme before - are you referring to their duck (http://www.smileyme.com/lprod.asp?lookup=3263#.VGe_3PnF9Ik) and goose down (http://www.smileyme.com/lprod.asp?lookup=1452#.VGe_3_nF9Ik) offerings? I don't see a fill power listed. I wonder if anyone has experience with using their down.

I didn't see a fill rating either, I would assume it would be around 700 if I were to guess.

I got a pound of the 100% goose down. Very fluffy stuff. Rumor is the duck is around 650 and the goose around 750.

I was gonna go with goose for sure

WOW!!! That is fast shipping! Thanks so much Dutch, I can't wait to order me up some down. What is the best source for 800-900 fill power? I am looking to make this UQ very versatile. I will need it for pretty much 4 seasons and will just have to vent it properly in warmer weather.
