Completed my first DIY project ever. 11' desert digital camo 1.9oz ripstop. Whoopie sling suspension and fixed amsteel ridgeline. So comfortable. I did not use a separate line for the whipping I just wrapped the fixed loop of my whoopie sling around a few times and larks headed it. Is there any reason why I shouldn't do that. I have made two other hammocks since, one 12' out of 1.9oz ripstop ACU digital camo for a tall friend of mine and 11' for me . Man this DIY stuff is addicting!

Lookin good!!! Congrats and welcome to the addiction... +1 SirMarkos Overtime I think about some piece of gear I start to wonder 'how difficult would this be for me to make?' My tables have not ever been the same.

Look forward to seeing what else you make. -Cheers

Just thought I would post a pic of my first trip out with my first DIY! In the snowy mountains of southern California with my trusty guide dog Remington! My buddy said I was asleep in 2 minutes flat.... I would call that a great success!
