Did a quick search, too many results.

What's a good recommendation on location for tie-outs on a 11' diy hammock? Figuring for actually tying out or maybe other uses down the road.

The instructions above will give tie out locations that match a JRB UQ. Some people don't care so much about that fact and actually found that they preferred the tie outs a little further apart. I think I read that typically one side should line up with your knees and the other with your elbows or shoulders. I put mine where my feet would go as well as where my elbows would rest. Determined after I laid in hammock. I like the one side where my feet are because it kind of forms a pocket for them.

Coming from limited experience, but id probably agree w this. ^
The foot tie out being a little further towards your feet is more comfy.
I accomplish this simply by moving further up in my hammock and hanging the head end slightly lower so I am still flat, but I can def see the benefits of making that way.
