View Full Version : Anyone been here? Anthony Chabot Regional Park
Anyone been here? Anthony Chabot Regional Park... looking for info... Have any members been hanging here? This area is about 25 min. from me. I would like first hang knowledge please.
Thank you.
I have been there, but didn't hang as hammocks are prohibited in the campground. I decided to go to Pt. Reyes and hike in a mile to Sky Camp. Site #5 and 6 are treed and worked very well for me. I had to reserve a spot. This was last Feb and there was only one other group, so it wasn't crowded at all.
Thank you. I will check out the area... u know if dogs are allowed in Pt. Reyes / Sky Camp grounds?

Kelly Lake and Coit Lake in Henry Coe has some spots for hammock camping and plenty of fish if you're into fishing.
Saw your other reply Thierict....Thank you for the tip, I checked out Henry Coe... that looks really good. Yes I like fishing. My boy and I need to get out the house soon. :)

If you go, let me know. I was there last month but the water is too cold for any action. I love that place

Kelly Lake is 6 miles from Coyote entrance so it's doable as a day trip. I usually park my car at Hunting Hollow and bike in, takes about 1.5 hours but the way out is about 45 minutes.
will do Thierict.... March is getting eaten up quick as far as weekend trip. April early may do for me.

Just got back last weekend and it was great! I caught more fish than my group of 8 can eat :).
