I have been there, but didn't hang as hammocks are prohibited in the campground. I decided to go to Pt. Reyes and hike in a mile to Sky Camp. Site #5 and 6 are treed and worked very well for me. I had to reserve a spot. This was last Feb and there was only one other group, so it wasn't crowded at all.

Kelly Lake and Coit Lake in Henry Coe has some spots for hammock camping and plenty of fish if you're into fishing.

If you go, let me know. I was there last month but the water is too cold for any action. I love that place

Kelly Lake is 6 miles from Coyote entrance so it's doable as a day trip. I usually park my car at Hunting Hollow and bike in, takes about 1.5 hours but the way out is about 45 minutes.

Just got back last weekend and it was great! I caught more fish than my group of 8 can eat :).
