A little last minute but wanted to put this out there for those interested in attending.
What: Oregon Bushcraft Winter Camp
Where: Horse Camp. 3 miles South of Gates Oregon and 36 miles from Salem
When: Feb 20th Noon until Feb 22nd 6pm (start and end times are when gate will be unlocked and then locked again)
Who: Open to environmentally responsible families who wish to brave the harsh Oregon Winter (sarcasm) in the foothills OF the foothills of the Cascades.
Why: I don't think anyone really needs an excuse to go out and camp
Horse Camp is an amazing campground in the Santiam State Forest. Dispersed camping is allowed outside of the campground which is nestled in dense forest perfect for hanging!
This is the location for the Oregon Bushcraft in June and the Oregon Department of Forestry has allowed us access to this site (and provided a key to the gate) free of charge.
