What options would you get on a new JRB No Sniveller (or Hudson) and why.

Thanks

I'd get the "long" option because I'm 6' and use them as top quilts. Overstuffed can never really be a bad thing can it?

Long is for sure - i guess i'm torn on the sewn footbox or full length omni tape

If you're not going to use it as an underquilt, I'd go for a sewn footbox to save the weight.

Wouldn't that make it somewhat less effective as a garment? I've worn mine without undoing the footbox (I'm really lazy) but it wasn't really cold so I'm not real sure how well it would work.

Yeah - it could. I usually wear it inside my rainjacket and it all gets stuffed inside near the waistline anyway...so not much difference. But you're right.

I thought it was best to net get it sewn if you use it in a hammock, reduces options. I just got two, one for me, one for my wife, regular not sewn

I don't see the need to sew the footbox. Depended on your intended use, the overstuff might be worth it. You can always do this yourself.
